SHOWCALL SHOWCASE 2007

... not as good as that coming from the eight-piece band Nu Soul Generation. Boasting a fine brass section and confident front singer in Judy Duff, this was classic, quality, corporate material, the likes of Disco Inferno and Son of a Preacher Man all included here. Jazz, soul and funk, plus any requests no doubt, they’ll please a lot of audiences.

After that wall of great sound, it took a while to get used to .....

"We were looking for the right soul band and the right soul sound for our event.  We searched around a great deal and although the band sounds were great we also wanted that special soul voice! 
We found that with Judy Duff and her band.  We wanted to hear the soul favourites, but also wanted to feel the individual singer get their soul into the music as we do when we listen and dance to it.  Judy's sound was exactly right.  She helped make our event even more special than it was.  She is also very cool! We highly recommend Judy and her band - not just for real soul connoisseurs but also for those of you who prefer the sound of quality rather than just the run-of-the-mill!
